A brave King’s son sets out to see the world and meets a giant, who challenges him to fetch an apple from the Tree of Life. The prince succeeds, gaining a magical ring and a loyal lion companion. The giant tries to steal the ring, blinds the prince, and attempts to kill him, but the lion saves him each time. The prince regains his sight with healing water and continues his journey.

He finds a cursed maiden who can only be freed if he endures three nights of demonic torment in silence. He endures the trials, breaks the curse, and discovers she is a princess. They marry, and the enchanted castle is restored.
