In the story of Brier Rose, the young maiden is cursed. The 13th fairy, who had not been invited to the celebration, spoke, "In the princess's fifteenth year she shall prick herself with a spindle and fall over dead." Without saying another word she turned around and left the hall.

Everyone was horrified, and the twelfth wise woman, who had not yet offered her wish, stepped forward. Because she was unable to undo the wicked wish, but only to soften it, she said, "It shall not be her death. The princess will only fall into a hundred-year deep sleep."
It is often the case that the psyche falls asleep. We continue to exist, but we do not develop.

In this session we will explore how we may fall into a period of stasis and stagnation, and how we may awaken from such a slumber.
